Hey dear one. How is it going? I just saw your post on Instagram,
the one where you're lying in bed, thinking: "who did I help lately and
how am I helping the world"..
It was funny reading it. well, not funny haha but funny because
the other day I was speaking to a friend from New Mexico, one of those
"mother Teresa" types that helps people at hospitals, church,
hospice, you know...angles on earth.
She invited me to come speak at their church about Israel and my
life with Jesus...
What's your ministry? She asked, very naively. She didn't know
this is the question of my life. Especially my Christian life.
"I don't know” I said, “my life I guess, going to work,
taking care of my mom, friends, people, going to the bank without killing
anyone (kidding!), I guess I don't have this big title above my head, I dont
have any initials that summarize what I do"...
She than told me that sounds great, and in my head I thought
"if only I would have kids or something to have an "excuse" of
not being able to save the poor in Africa"....
And next thing I know a mom for 3 adorable kids is writing from
her bed and sharing her exact same emotions!
than it hit me, it doesn't matter how much we do, we will always
feel it's not enough, cause we have this picture in our head of a saint model
that we will never reach, and we don't notice that our parenting, education,
love for our neighbors, parents, calling this woman from church after we heard she's
down and asking if everything is ok, giving food to our cousin after a surgery,
telling someone God loves him. If that's what we can do than that's enough,
And I'm sure Aurora you are one of those super moms that is taking
her time to read articles about parenting so that you don't screw your kids
more than the average kid, and you have those moments you think about your husband
and friend, and you take care of a home with4 human beings in it! (Proverbs
31), there is a great virtue in that! Your kids hear you sing to Jesus and this
is what they will remember! This is your ministry.
Think about Rachel and Leah (Genesis 29), their “ministry” was to be jealous at
one another and to bring more and more kids so that the other one
jealous, from that “ministry” a whole nation rose ha ha. Take it easy my
I will finish with a quote I just heard:
“Don't try to love the world — love your neighbor. The world is a
big place! To love the world is God's job. It's enough for you to learn love
your neighbor - the “boor” who happens to be nearby to you”. Dallas Willard
AYAS organization started 2 minutes ago in my office.
It stands for “Aurora you are sweet” ,
for donations ,
