The war is on – google and bing via Microsoft. To launch the campaign Microsoft made a crucial mistake – it stated that bing will be a better way to search – big mistake – it should be a different way to search!
Will see what bing will do to google and vica versa.
I think that bing needs to bring something different to the market in order to succeed long term.
No way a better product can snatch a leading position from such a strong brand name – classic mistake in marketing – can Pepsi surpass Cola? No it cannot, even though many claim it is a better product.
Better product is not the name of the game when you have a strong market leader- different is.
